Freely Offered

O frigid night, my hands and feet are frozen.
My cheeks still are warm, but I fear my nose is gone.
What am I doing, out in this cold weather?
I will tell you, if you promise not to laugh.
I'm waiting for a cab to take me home,
But now I fear I never will get there.
I am so cold.
I don’t want to die here.
Oh thermal underwear,
How I wish I'd worn you today
I'll wear you tomorrow,
But for now I'll have to pay

I am so stupid, I should've checked the weather
But I was rushed and didn't take the time
The sun was out, and everything was sparkling,
So I walked out without my scarf or hat.
But then the sun was hidden by a blizzard!
Which has now moved on, but it left some cold behind.
If I survive this,
I'll go buy a parka!
Oh weather man,
I wish I'd listened to you today.
But I didn’t,
So now I'll have to pay.
