It was a hot day, the sun was beating down on me, and I was surrounded by produce and products well past their sell-by date. "This is what I get", I thought to myself, "for throwing my back out and then waiting until after the garbage truck has been and gone to decide I want a backbone after all." Some kids lose retainers and go digging through dumpsters for them. I was searching the entire Harlan County Landfill for my body part. Thank goodness that new trash incinerator hasn't come online yet!
