"Jenny Lester? You have Jenny Lester?"
The rest of us watched with bemusement as Kate rushed over and stuck her nine-year-old hands in Jenny's face. Jenny didn't seem to know how to react.
"What's so great about Jenny Lester?" Robert asked.
"Jenny is only the best masseuse ever!" Kate exclaimed. She pushed her hands even further into Jenny's face, then wrapped them around Jenny's neck and gave her an exuberant and lengthy hug. "Jenny took the bestest care of my in ..." Kate faltered off into troubled silence. Everybody else leaned back. We had hoped to uncover a bit more of the mystery why we had all been dumped here.
Jenny sighed and then gathered Kate up into a big hug of her own. "I could never forget you either. You were my one ray of sunshine in that desolate place."
