Come on teacher dear,
Give us a week jam-packed with tests.
Can't you hear the cries
Of students who need no rest?
Families are calling,
GPAs are falling,
But that's of no concern to me.
All that I'm asking,
Let me keep basking
In books piled up four feet deep.
Another frantic week of finals,
Teachers with a sadistic streak
Pile the work upon us
And ignore the cries of the weak.
Well, they say that out there
Is a world that doesn't care
If the bursar collects his fee;
But a frantic week of finals
Is the only kind of week for me.
